Welcome to Gut Hornegg, a country estate steeped in tradition and with a commitment to quality. The estate is farmed by Heinrich Holler according to organic principles. At its heart ,on a hillside surrounded by nature, stand the former castle greenhouses. The gardeners’ quarters and the two greenhouses have now been converted into two comfortable and tastefully decorated holiday apartments. Your neighbours are complete tranquillity, the magnificent chorus of frogsong from the lakes in the valley, rambling old roses and a small meadow orchard in front of the house.
The “Mirabelle von Nancy” apartment

The weekly price includes overnight stays for up to four people, bed linen, towels and final cleaning.
Two additional beds are available at a price of € 15 each per night.
The municipalitiy charges back a lokal tax in the amount of € 1,- p.p./night.
The “Gute Luise” apartment

Spacious kitchen/living room in the former greenhouse, three bedrooms (1 double bed, 1x2 beds, 1 double bed in attic room), play- and reading room, bathroom, WC, outside dining area, car parking space

Oak floors throughout, modern kitchen, central heating, fireplace and hearthside bench in greenhouse, garden furniture, barbecue and a small library, including literature and tips about places to visit in the surrounding area.
Price:
€ 790 per week for 4 people
The weekly price includes overnight stays for up to four people, bed linen, towels and final cleaning.
Four additional beds are available for the attic room at a price of € 15 each per night.
The municipalitiy charges back a lokal tax in the amount of € 1,- p.p./night.
How to book:
The minimum stay is one week.
Bookings can only be made in writing (by fax or post).
In order to guarantee your reservation, we require a transfer of EUR 350 to our account. On receipt of your transfer the booking becomes valid.
We are unfortunately unable to accept credit cards or bank cards.
Cancellation: Holiday apartments generally tend to be booked quite far in advance. For this reason our cancellation terms are: up to two months in advance, half of the sum due; following this, the full amount.
2-day package: autumn in Styria
Southern Styria is famous for its wonderful autumns, the world-class wines grown in its hilly vineyards and a range of high-quality cultural events at this time of year. From mid-September through to 1st November we also offer shorter stays. Enjoy the vivid colours of the autumnal landscape, the grape-gathering and the harvest.

The autumn package can be booked for a minimum of two nights and two people. In the surrounding area you will find many interesting winemakers and “Buschenschanks” – traditional rustic inns producing their own wines and home-made local specialities. We are very happy to make recommendations. The world-famous “steirischer herbst” contemporary art festival takes place in September and October. www.steirischerherbst.at
Children:
Children can enjoy a wide range of play activities, learn all about nature and are free to roam safely, since there are no roads nearby.
Pets:
After consulting we do accept pets as holiday guests at Gut Hornegg.
Other good things to do at Gut Hornegg:
Swimming – during the warmer months, there is swimming in the Spiegelteich ‘mirror lake’
Fishing – can be arranged on site with Master Fisherman Heinrich Holler.
Farm shop – on Thursdays and Fridays, our farm shop sells fish specialities, fresh fish and regional wines.
Dinner – on arrangement we will be happy to cook for you.
Picnic basket – we also offer a picnic basket of regional produce
Fitness and sports:
At Gut Hornegg you will find a number of beautiful running trails, and very nearby there are riding stables and tennis courts.
Gut Hornegg has its own spring water. Thanks to its organic status, Hornegg is rich in biodiversity.
